Hi!     Welcome to my Home Page.      I live in Innerleithen, a town some 30 miles south of Edinburgh.     I was born in Edinburgh in Scotland and my family come from Scotland, mainly from the north (Caithness and Sutherland) and the Borders (Roxburgh, Selkirk and Dumfriesshire).    The aim of this site is mainly to make contact with fellow genealogists researching linked trees, but I've also tried to include wider information about areas of research that might be of more general interest.   I have a particular interest in the surname SCOON and run a one name study on the name and its variants.
